Before we moved, we bought a telephone. A nice one, that we got quite a lot of money off, due to the store having a sale. £50 off, don't mind if I do!
This phone? It's awesome. 2 handset cordless phone with built in answering machine.
Thank god we are getting the line put in, because now I can use my new phone! And we can record a cool message!
The problem, hubs wants to have a regular message that says something along the lines off "we're not home, leave a message after the beep."
Where as I want to do something along the lines of an automated pick up service, like the banks have.
Something like this....
Thank you for calling the Masters Residence.
If you want to speak to Mr Masters, please press 1.
If you want to speak to Mrs Masters, please press 2.
If you want to speak to the person responsible for the bills, please press 3.
Alternatively please press 4 to speak to an operator.
*slight pause*
All of our lines are busy at present, but we do value your call, please continue holding and someone will answer your call shortly.
*slight pause*
We are sorry to keep you holding, if you would like to leave a message, someone will call you back as soon as possible.
Personally I think my version would be awesome. Brilliant way to get rid of telemarketers (because let's face it, BT will more than likely sell our number on). Also I'd find it extremely hilarious.

TPS innit!
I agree with you that would be cool message. You should poll yours and hubs friends to see votes on which one to choose. hugx
I like it! Tell hubs to show some imagination! Personally, I solved the whole telemarketer problem by getting rid of my land-line altogether and going for a cell phone instead - number isn't in the phone book, therefore NO telemarketers. Yay!! (ps. I get my internet through my cable company)
