Best friend Tabetha

Good day to you.

I'm sitting in our new flat just after breakfast, having ordered 2 bookshelves and watching The Gadget Show seeing all the little gadgets in the world I want but can't afford.

I've not blogged in forever.

Perhaps some notes, I'm not Becca. Indeed I don't look, act, smell or behave remotely like Becca. I am Becca's husband and basically, I am awesome. You think Becca is cool? You aint seen nothing. You think she's funny? I fart in your general direction. You think Becca is intelligent? Well you're wrong, my wife is like two short planks. Thick.

I'm no stranger to blogging, I have blogged for upwards of 10 years. Way back in the early days of this millenium there existed a website known as Alfred's Cheese Emporium, or ACE for short. ACE was the home for two not quite usual chaps, Chimbles and Flams. These two would post daily for an audience of 1 or 2 people. With articales like "do something dangerous friday" and "how many pringles should you eat at once?" the internet never knew what hit it. The popularity grew until with great sadness it was no more. Arguably it peaked with "brushing your teeth with english mustard" but we'll never know.

Alfred's cheese emporium was the start of my entanglement with blogging. Over the years I went through many blogs, indeed I still have one that hasn't been updated in almost a year. Its always the way. Boy meets blog, boy blogs all the time, boy discovers more exciting things on the internet, boy leaves blog. I wouldn't mind so much, but I put a tonne of effort into my most recent blog, my brother gave me space on his domain, installed wordpress and I messed with the source code like nobodies business. See thats the bit of blogging I like, making the page look NICE.

The peak of web design for me was at University, where I built a working shop using PHP. The realisation of what I'm doing is working is amazing. I had no idea how to use PHP and when it finally clicked one day (literally in a lazy afternoon at home) I was ecstatic. Same with CSS, HTML and even XML, though I still don't see the point for XML.

Incredibly, I'm seen as an IT genius around some of my friends. When I signed up for ICT at college I had never used a modern computer (true story!) and when the teacher told us to log in I had literally no idea what I was doing. Fast forward to now and I could knock up a semi decent website within an hour (probably) that would impress you for minimum effort.

Well this blog has been decidedly wandering. My name is Daniel and I might share some thoughts with you from time to time. Pretty soon I'll share my top secret recipe for spaghetti and meatballs.

Daniel, out.

You know, for a husband who may actually want to "get some" now and then, you may want to be nicer when talking about your wife on HER blog. LOL!! Yes, I would love a new meatball recipe; bring it on :)
