it's official

I've discovered that I'm a little bit anal and have slight OCD.
and I'm in a bad mood today.

parents are away in Prague, due back today.
the decision was that my brother would make dinner today, except he's got to go to work. despite having to be at work for 11, he only gets out of bed after I shout at him for a second time, at 10.20. he's a grown man with a child and he still cant get up for work.

i was going to go shopping for something for dinner, however when I got downstairs todays dinner was already prepared. I hhonestly dont understand why people start preparing dinner at 10.15 in the morning.
the meat only takes an hour (its one of those cook from frozen joints) so why it is sitting on the table defrosting. hello! food safety anyone!
if this was a restuarant I would have binned it.
besides, it's not like we're having dinner until Daniel gets here anyway, and that wont be until very late this afternoon!

oh! and there was no brown sauce for my bacon sarnie.

hmpfh.

so I am officially one of the governments statistics.
yay. :S

the job centre people were very nice to me. i think it was cause i was made redundant. either that or they are just nice people at Eltham.

got to send off some forms to previous employer to fill in and return to me.
then the job centre has to fill in some forms and give them back to me.
then i have to send them to the insurance companies.


i've applied for a few more jobs today. 5 in fact.
going to apply for a few more tomorrow.


I have an interview on Tuesday. it's only an informal interview, but still. better than nothing. and if they dont like me, then at least it's practice. and practice makes perfect.

so the job is managing their office/practice. pays quite well and you get a laptop and mobile. awesome.
only 20 minute bus ride from Daniels house too, which is cool.
my fingers are crossed. seems like an okay company to work for. i've read their website, and it seems pretty cool.

I'm teenage sitting at the moment, as the parents have gone to Prague and will be coming back on Sunday. it was our present to them to celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary.

have Sinead over keeping me company.

bathed the nephew tonight, and he splashed a lot. it was funny. he's such a sweet kid. looks just like his dad did at that age.

anyway. not really a lot much to say honestly.
umemployment is rather boring.

the funniest thing that happened to me today was overhearing my mum talking to our neighbour about my brothers new digital camera. apparently it only takes "lithuianian" batteries.
hmmmmmm

application .....DONE!

my application for Thomas's in Clapham is completed. now I just need an envelope so I can post it.

can't find one anywhere though.

tonight I'm off out to celebrate Kim's birthday, which was last week, but we're going for sushi. I don't even eat sushi, but I'm assured they serve other things, so that's ok.

planning on leaving here about half 6 or 7. to get there for 8.
should probably stary getting ready!

so this is my first actual day of being unemployed.

it totally sucks. :(
I've called the registry office to see if my certificate is ready to be collected, it is.
I've finished off my job seekers allowance claim, got a meeting with them on Wednesday.
Been shopping.
Played animal crossing.
had 2 coffees
browsed the web.
starting filling in a job application form.

and now I've feck all to do.

I might try spending some time writing.

and a new phase starts

So I got a call this morning.

I've been made redundant. which is a bit shit, but I can't complain.... the cancer that is the recession may have infected my job, but at least actual cancer hasn't infected me, so that's good.

today I went on a health walk with Daniels dad (Colin) we went to Bushy Park and walked for about an hour and ten minutes. It was really nice. I really enjoyed it, saw some beautiful things, and it made me wish I had my SLR, so I could be creative. I could imagine photoshoots there. how awesome would that be. women in wedding dresses or nymph costumes flitting about and posing against trees and next to the little lakes.

I am definitley going back when I know the weather is good. :-)

I saw baby geese! they were so cute. like little ducklings but gray and white and all fluffy! i really wanted to grab one! but I didn't fancy being chased through the park by Geese, they are quite vicious.

I also nearly walked into a swan. It was freaking huge and pecking at the grass , how I missed it I'll never figure out.


had a jacket potato and chili con carne for lunch today, that was ace.
Tonight we are supposed to be having pizza for dinner. I really want a glass of wine with mine.

tomorrow is Quins v Saracens. We beat them before, but only just. Going to wear my lucky quins socks. fingers crossed!

oooh - and I want a wii speak to my birthday! woo!

So yeah, I've applied to like 50 jobs now, so I'm thinking I got to get at least 1 interview right?
Well I guess we'll find out soon.

I find out today from work whether I've been made compulsory redundant or not.

other than that it's job hunting, and tidying up I think. and maybe a bit of animal crossing thrown in for good measure.
