Has Justice really been served?

Today I came across a post on the Guardian website of a teenage sex offender who raped a 5 year old boy, only days after being given a 3 year community order for a previous attack on a 7 year old.  You can read the story here.

Today he was jailed with a sentence of 3 years and 4 months, but with the time he has already spent in custody taken into consideration, he will serve a minimum of 2 years and 359 days before he is eligible for parole.

Can somebody please explain to me where Justice has been done here?

This absolutely sickens me, it really does.

Hey Becca, hopefully he will be put in with the general population in jail and the other inmates will give him the justice he deserves. In the states pedifiles and rapists get justice the old fashioned way by the code of criminals who believe it or not do not approve of rapists and child molesters or child murderers. He will get his IN THE END.
